DESIGN SOLUTION
Master Planning and Design for a new 28,000 s.f. facility programmed to coordinate State wide
Emergency Response Operations for Technological and Natural Hazards. This command center features
a multi media operations theater allowing State and Federal Agency representatives to share data
on resources while receiving up-to-date weather and live location information via large screen
formats from satellite and land line feeds. Aerial mapping combined with resources displays allow
agency operators to effectively deploy personnel and materials to affected areas.
Additionally, this facility will serve collocating tenants such as The Delaware State Police's Communication Division's
800 MHz System Command Switching Center as well as an OIS Cold Site.
The facility is designed to be self- sufficient for 3 to 7 days with emergency backup power and UPS support for computer
operations. Additionally, the structural skin and building frame are designed to resist 120 m.p.h. winds and seismic loads.
