DESIGN SOLUTION

This 45,000 s.f. renovation and building fit-up involved programming, design, and space planning for the consolidation of six interrelated working groups from three sites. Serving over 200 people, the project is located in an existing office and warehouse complex. The Medical Products Call Center and its ancillary departments operate on a 24-hour, 7-day per week schedule, providing round-the-clock diagnostic support to hospitals throughout the country. Full-scale laboratories with ACA and dimension analyzers, as well as other DuPont medical product diagnostic equipment, are set up to recreate field conditions and to analyze field samples on an on-line or overnight basis. Training rooms are incorporated into the design in addition to office and clerical support spaces. Due to the 24-hour per day nature of the facility, careful planning for the construction as well as move-in was a major factor in the design and management of the project.
